If there is a more formal hosting site for Final Fantasy mods let me know, or feel free just to post it there. So I whipped up a quick mod that removes them using Krisan's PNGtoDat tool. I've noticed a lot of people complaining how the dialog portraits in the recently released Mobile to PC port of Final Fantasy 5 clash horribly with the game's sprite art.
